Today's topic: "What is a major scale?" In this video you will learn how to construct and identify a major scale in 30 seconds. Including some examples and common mistakes.


A scale is a series of notes, most scales have seven notes and use every natural once. Though there are exceptions.


The major scale is made up from the intervals: perfect prime (P1), major second (M2), major third (M3), perfect fourth (P4), perfect fifth (P5), major sixth (M6) and major seventh (M7).


The major scale is also known as:


- ionian
